After being here for 3 weeks, we feel like we are finally settling in. We have all been sick in one form or another, except for Lottie.
Shannon got his classes yesterday and it is a great schedule. No real weird classes and they gave him fewer hours than he contracted for. He starts Monday.
A major contributing factor to settling in has been a new friend from Canada and his wife. We met them yesterday. They have been here 5 years and know all there is to know. They have been a big help.
We continue to find out more about our city and area. Our city is very developed and has just about everything you could ever need. Shannon found a few department stores on an expedition that we couldn't afford. Our province is a very wealthy province.
I say that to say, "we shouldn't complain."
Our university has more foreign teachers than most. Some teach English and others teach Japanese.
They have a huge plan to add tons of more teachers each year.
Put the 'FOR SALE' sign in the yard and give the rest to Goodwill and we'll see you next year!!!
